Each month on the 28th day the Shanks will collect at the arena of Qeynos for the Contest of Blood. Our leader will set the time of this meeting. All who can attend must attend. All Shanks must sit inside the arena and be within the PvP area. No Shank may leave this area unless killed or excused by the leader. Once the time has come, the leader will call the meeting into session. He will then ask if any among us have broken the laws of the clan. At this time any Shank may stand and call out the name of any Shank who he or she has witnessed breaking a law of the clan. At that time the Shank who makes such an accusation must call out the name of a witness to attest to having seen the crime. Once the witness stands and affirms that the accuser speaks the truth, the accuser must offer the accused a duel. The accused either may accept the duel or be immediately beaten to death by the clan and then banished from its ranks. Once the duel has concluded, the leader will call for a vote. First he will call for all that believe the accused is not guilty. All who believe in the innocence of the accused will then stand. Then he will call for those who believe the accused is guilty. All who believe in the accused is guilty must then stand. Once the count is tallied the majority prevails and casts a vote of innocence or guilt. This vote then goes to the council of elders. The council votes in a similar fashion (essentially getting another vote each) and once tallied casts a new vote of innocence or guilt. This vote is then passed to the leader of the Shanks. He may then uphold this vote, or deny it and give the accused reprieve. The final vote is the only vote the leader of the Shanks passes, and it is absolute. A guilty member is beaten to death and then banished from the clan immediately. Once all accusations have been resolved, the leader will call for the Contest of Blood to begin. Every Shank MUST be in the PvP area of the arena and be visible to all until the leader gives the call to begin. No Shank may under any circumstance leave the PvP area of the arena until dead or the contest concludes. Upon the call of the leader, all Shanks are at that moment equal. Each will fight and the last Shank standing is the new leader. No shank will stop fighting until he or she is the last standing or has fallen. Once fallen every shank will return to the stands as soon as possible in order to pay tribute to the new leader in terms of gifts and kneels. The old leader then passes the control of the guild to the new leader and becomes an officer in the council of elders.
